I shot this one Sunday afternoon near Fort Point at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge. The sun was still quite high in the clear sky, causing a lot of hard shadows everywhere. I really liked the texture of this chain link fence and wanted to capture a bit of the "location" so I composed the image to include a bit of the Golden Gate Bridge, but to blur, or smooth, it out a bit to keep the focus on the chain link. I really liked the highly textured link against the smoothness of the out of focus Golden Gate.
